Graphic/Multimedia Designer

Department: Communications & Media Centre (CMC)

Reports to: Communications Manager & Associate Manager (Graphic Design)

Overall Responsibilities: 
Execute the communications strategy (work plan) through design work to help build the Bible Society’s brand, promote the Bible mission and communicate the various Centres’ publicity and fundraising needs, across all platforms. Support communication needs of the region as directed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Strong creative thinking and concept development
  2. Design art and copy layouts for visual presentations and artistic concepts that engage, attract and convey the marketing message
  3. Develop concepts and graphic design elements for products and services such as collaterals and events (eg - logos, banners, brochures, posters, book covers, web thumbnails & sliders, etc)
  4. Manage the execution of all creative deliverables inline with project schedule and deadlines
  5. Steer projects through production/pre-press process
  6. Preparation of PDF's/final artworks

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Must have good working knowledge of Design software such as: InDesign, Adobe PhotoShop & Adobe Illustrator
  • Possess good communication skills, especially on liaising with external parties such as printers and contractors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office & WordPress
  • Able to do freehand drawing/illustrations
  • Strong creative and concept development skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Rigorous & Detail-oriented / Able to multi-task and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Team player and ability to work closely with rest of the communications team and external parties as well
  • Knowledge in photography is a plus factor
