Installation Service of Singapore Baptist Convention Executive Director, Rev Leonard Chong
On 28 March, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Installation Service of the Executive Director of the Singapore Baptist Convention, Rev Leonard Chong. We pray for God’s guidance and strength upon Rev Leonard Chong as he undertakes this important responsibility, and look forward to continued partnership in advancing Scripture engagement and Christian ministry in Singapore.

Lunch Meeting with Love On Ukraine
On 12 February, the General Secretary met with the founders of Love On Ukraine, Rudy and Baoyan, to discuss collaboration in humanitarian relief in Ukraine.
Bible Society of India Triennial Council 2026 and 215th Formation Day Ecumenical Programme
From 18 to 23 February, the General Secretary was invited to the Bible Society of India Triennial Council 2026 where the Bible Society also celebrates the 215th anniversary of the formation of the Bible Society of India. We give thanks for this significant milestone and value our fellowship and partnership in the global Bible mission.

New Year Day Celebration Event at Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre
On 1 January, the General Secretary attended the New Year Day Celebration Event for migrant workers at Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre. The event also marks the first day of operation of Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre by Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA), which is a partner of SowCare. SowCare is also partnering with HIA in the organising of programmes and activities for migrant workers at Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre. The Guest of Honour was Mr Tung Yui Fai, Chief of the Assurance, Care and Engagement Group in the Ministry of Manpower.
ADEO Mega Picnic Event at Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre
On 4 January, the General Secretary attended the Alliance of Domestic Employees Outreach (ADEO) Mega Picnic Event at Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre for migrant domestic workers. SowCare is a partner with Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA) in ADEO programmes reaching out to the migrant domestic workers in Singapore. The Guest of Honour was Mr Jagathishwaran Rajo, Grassroots Adviser to Aljunied GRC GROs (Kaki Bukit).
APEX Leaders’ Luncheon
On 12 January, the General Secretary was invited to attend the APEX Leaders Luncheon for a time of fellowship, honour, and shared love for God’s work in Singapore.
Racial and Religious Harmony Circle Appreciation Lunch 2026
On 17 January, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Racial and Religious Harmony Circle (Harmony Circle) Appreciation Lunch 2026 for his role in the Henderson-Dawson Harmony Circle. The Guest of Honour was Mr Dinesh Vasu Dash, Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth & Manpower and Mayor of South East District.
Pongal Celebration Event at Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre
On 18 January, the General Secretary attended the Pongal Celebration Event at Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre for migrant workers. SowCare is a partner with Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA) in programmes reaching out to the migrant workers in Singapore. The Guest of Honour was Mr Sengkuttuvan Kanniyappan, Chairman of Hindu Advisory Board.
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2026
On 19 January, the Bible House hosted a session of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity organised by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore. The session was held at the Pavilion of the Nations at the rooftop of the Bible House.
Meeting with Bible Society in Taiwan General Secretary, Rev Shou-Hui Chung
On 21 January, the General Secretary met with the General Secretary of the Bible Society in Taiwan, Rev Shou-Hui Chung, to discuss collaborations in Trauma Healing programmes.

120th Anniversary of Chesed-El Synagogue
On 6 November, the General Secretary was invited to attend the 120th Anniversary of Chesed-El Synagogue. We give thanks for this significant milestone and value the longstanding friendship and mutual support among faith communities in Singapore, and look forward to continued goodwill and collaboration in promoting understanding and service to society.
Chinese Annual Conference 50th Session Presentation
On 12 November, the General Secretary was invited to present the report of the Bible Society of Singapore during the 50th Session of the Chinese Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Singapore.

Preaching at Immanuel Urawa Christ Church
On 5 October, the General Secretary was invited to preach at Immanuel Urawa Christ Church in Japan.
Meeting with Hindu Endowments Board Leadership
On 23 October, the General Secretary met with the leadership of the Hindu Endowments Board for interfaith engagement and partnerships.
WEA General Assembly at Seoul
From 27 to 31 October, the General Secretary was invited to attend the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) General Assembly in Seoul. The General Secretary is an elected International Council Member and appointed as its Special Envoy to China and Chinese Territories, as well as serving in various committees.

TAP National Storytelling Competition
On 12 September, the General Secretary attended The Alphabet Project (TAP) National Storytelling Competition for children from low- income families, with Senior Parliamentary Secretary Mr Eric Chua as the Guest of Honour. The event was jointly organised by Hope Initiative Alliance and Filos Community Services to empower these children through storytelling.
Methodist Church in Singapore 140th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service
On 19 September, the General Secretary was honoured to be invited to attend the Methodist Church in Singapore’s 140th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service. We thank God for 140 years of faithful Methodist witness and ministry in Singapore, and value the Church’s longstanding partnership in advancing Scripture engagement and Christian ministry. We look forward to continued collaboration in the years ahead.
Visit by Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Mr Shawn Huang, to the Bible House
On 21 September, the Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Manpower and Finance, Mr Shawn Huang, visited the Bible House. The visit is part of engagement by the Ministry of Manpower on a programme that SowCare and the Bible House have been involved in partnership with Hope Initiative Alliance for the migrant domestic workers in Singapore.
Meeting with Jerome Rasiah, Head of the Youth Evangelical Alliance
On 25 September, the General Secretary met with the Head of Youth Evangelical Alliance (YEA) of the National Christian Evangelical Alliance of Sri Lanka (NCEASL), Mr Jerome Rasiah, to discuss collaboration opportunities in youth discipleship.

Asia-Pacific Bible Societies Gathering in Tokyo
From 29 September to 3 October, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Gathering of Bible Societies from Asia-Pacific countries in Tokyo. The Gathering is part of an effort to facilitate collaboration and coordination between Bible Societies for Bible Mission work in the region.

On 14 August, the General Secretary was invited to attend the APEX Christian Leaders Luncheon 2025, a gathering of Christian Leaders to discuss challenges faced by churches in Singapore.

On 22 August, the General Secretary was invited to attend an IRO Meeting with ESM Goh Chok Tong, who is the Patron of IRO.

Public Sector Transformation Award
On 8 July, the General Secretary attended the Public Sector Transformation Award. Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA), a partner of SowCare in community service, received the Star Partner Award for exemplary service to the community in partnership with government ministries. The General Secretary received the award on behalf of HIA.

On 31 July, the General Secretary met with Bishop Philip Lim, Bishop of the Methodist Church in Singapore.

Asia Evangelical Alliance EXCO and Commission Directors Annual Strategic Meeting
From 9 to 11 June, the General Secretary attended the Asia Evangelical Alliance (AEA) EXCO and Commission Directors Annual Strategic Meeting in Seoul. The General Secretary is an elected Executive Council Member and appointed as its Secretary, as well as serving in various commissions.

On 21 June, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Installation Service of the new Bishop of the Lutheran Church in Singapore, Bishop Anthony Loh. Our heartiest congratulations and blessings to Bishop Anthony Loh as he takes up the new appointment.
IRO Meeting with Thailand Religious Affairs Ministry
On 27 June, the General Secretary was invited to a meeting with a delegation of interfaith leaders from the Thailand Religious Affairs Ministry. The General Secretary is an elected Council Member of IRO and appointed as its Treasurer.

Telok Ayer Chinese Methodist Church 100 Years Anniversary
On 3 May, the General Secretary was invited to attend the 100th Anniversary of Telok Ayer Chinese Methodist Church, where the refurbished church building was dedicated to God. He also presented a Bible, published by the Bible Society, to be placed in the church's time capsule. Our heartiest congratulations on this milestone!
Meeting with Prof Dr Janet Epp Buckingham
On 9 May, the General Secretary met with Prof Dr Janet Epp Buckingham, the Director of the World Evangelical Alliance Geneva Office to the UN.
World Evangelical Alliance Pre-Summit Gathering
From 15 to 18 May, the General Secretary was invited to attend the World Evangelical Alliance Pre-Summit Gathering in Seoul. The General Secretary is an elected International Council Member and appointed as its Special Envoy to China and Chinese Territories, as well as serving in various committees.
Bible Society of India Leadership Enhancement Tour in Singapore
From 20 to 23 May, the Bible Society of Singapore hosted a Leadership Enhancement Tour for a delegation of 17 leaders from the Bible Society of India and its auxiliaries.

Ministry of Manpower’s 70th Anniversary Dinner
On 5 April, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Ministry of Manpower’s 70th Anniversary Dinner for our role in partnering with MOM and other community partners in serving the migrant workers.

On 14 March, the General Secretary was invited to receive the Zak Salaam India Community Award for dedicated efforts in supporting vulnerable residents in Singapore.
The Alphabet Project Club @ Bedok Interfaith Iftar
On 20 March, the General Secretary participated in an interfaith iftar with children and families from low-income households held at Bedok Bunga Merah RC. Her Excellency Gabrielle Rush, the New Zealand High Commissioner to Singapore, was also present as a special guest.

Association of Employment Agencies (Singapore) Annual Lo Hei Celebration
On 5 February, the General Secretary was invited to attend the Association of Employment Agencies (Singapore) [AEA(S)] Annual Lo Hei Celebration. SowCare is a partner of AEA(S) to serve the migrant domestic workers in Singapore with monthly events held at the Bible House. SowCare jointly sponsored the Migrant Domestic Worker and Employer of the Year Awards which were presented during the event.
Preaching at Gospel for Myanmar Seminary and Believers Church Myanmar
From 21 to 23 February, the General Secretary was invited to preach at the graduation service of Gospel for Myanmar Theological Seminary. The General Secretary also met up with the leadership of Myanmar Evangelical Church Alliance, the Bible Society of Myanmar, where mission collaboration opportunities were discussed, and also preached at Believers Church Myanmar.
Lunch with Lausanne Intergenerational Task Force
On 26 February, the General Secretary hosted lunch with the Lausanne Intergenerational Task Force who visited the Bible House in Singapore and discussed partnerships to reach out to the generations.
