Declare: The Word from the Beginning

Hear the word of the LORD, O you nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock. — Jeremiah 31:10

DECLARE is an expression of unity, to bring together different parts of the Body of Christ in thanksgiving, celebration and worship in a City or Nation.

In 2017, DECLARE began as a Bible proclamation anchored with The Bible Society of Singapore, the oldest missionary organisation in Singapore. It has been held annually over the feast of Pentecost, or Shavuot, as a time commemorating the Law given to Moses at Sinai (Ex 34) and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem (Acts 2).

Our desire is to see the church without walls across the nations proclaiming the Word of God in 2020 and beyond, witnessing its transformative power (Isa 55:11).

Note: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, Declare 2020 will be held live online this year.

Since 2017, over 1,700 readers from all age groups and backgrounds have participated, with more than 2 dozen languages and dialects noted.

In 2019, communities in Okinawa, Japan, and Kandy – Sri Lanka organized DECLARE, sharing stories of personal revival, family restoration, and children desiring to read more! In 2020, we see more nations and islands joining in one voice [Psalm 22:27], with DECLARE 2020 culminating in Israel [Isaiah 2:2-3].

Our desire is to see the church without walls across the nations proclaiming the Word of God in 2020 and beyond, and witnessing its transformative power [Isaiah 55:11]. Please get in touch at arts.collective@bible.org.sg if you are considering organising DECLARE in your city or local community. We would love to get connected and support you!
